Microtonal Guitar

The fretboard is a construct of Tolgahan Çoğulu and Süleyman Hakan Görener in the Republic of Türkiye. It is unusual in that, unlike the standard straight-line positioning of frets under all six strings of equal-tempered instruments), the straight frets are divided into six, movable 'fretlets'. These sit in channels that run under each individual string and allow me to tune each pitch on the fretboard individually.
This distinctive configuration provides an open-ended intonation across the full range of the guitar.
The fretboard is attached to a PRS-style Carved Top Guitar Kit that I built at Wood and Strings in South Australia.
