The fretboard is a construct of Tolgahan Çoğulu and Süleyman Hakan Görener in the Republic of Türkiye. Unlike other equidistant positioning of frets under all strings, this fretboard comprises six 'fretlets' that sit in channels running under each string. This distinctive configuration provides an open-ended intonation across the full range of the guitar.

The fretboard is attached to a PRS-style Carved Top Guitar Kit that I built at Wood and Strings in South Australia.

It is tuned in Just Intonation, a form of microtonality where the musical intervals are created by whole number ratios from a fundamental pitch. Below are the fretting positions based on fundamentals of D (l) and A (r).
